The away team started the strongest, moving the ball around at a good tempo. Aston Ventour missed an early chance after some good work from Jordan Vidal who crossed in for Aston who narrowly missed with the header. It looked like only a matter of time before we opened the scoring. After some good midfield work Aston Ventour was slotted through who neatly slotted home to put us one up. Soon after Aston added his second and goal of the day with an audacious back heel from 12 yards. After the 2nd goal Banstead came in to the game and dominated possession for the rest of half without really creating any clear chances.
HT 0-2
Banstead started the stronger in the second half, considering so many changes from their side in the week they were looking very good. CB against the run of play got there 3rd after a succession of blocked shots, when Vinny Hodge smashed the ball left footed in to the roof of the net. The game was pretty much killed off when Nduka Azagba did some good work resulting in a shot which was blocked only for Vinny Hodge to slot home the lose ball.
A solid away performance, good luck to Banstead for the rest of the season.
