Jordan takes home the match ball in 6-0 win.

CB Hounslow v Staines Lammas.

The Bamfords had lead Lammas to a respectable 8th place finish last year in the CCL before joining Barry Chapman and his CB team in pre season, Adam Bessent has taken over at the Lammas with some good early reports we were all looking forward to the fixture.

The first half opened pretty evenly with both sides in the game, CB began to dominate after the early stages with Jordan Ireland breaking the deadlock after some neat work with Jerome Edwards, Jordan slotted neatly home. CB were beginning to dominate all over the park and went 2-0 ahead when Gavin Bamford and Jordan Ireland combined with Gavin floating in a free kick which Jordan met with a glancing header.
HT 2-0

The second half began with CB dominating the opening exchanges, it wasn't long before Gavin Bamford and Jordan Ireland combined again, Gavin's corner lead to a bullet header form Jordan to complete his hat-trick. The 4th came from a powerful strike from Gavin Bamford, the keeper got a full hand on it but was unable to stop it from hitting the back of the net. Staines then went close with their first and only shot of note in the game. Nduka Azagba (Cooky) was on the score sheet again with a lovely strike for 18 yards for the 5th. The 6th and final goal of the game went to Oliver Wright, son of vice chairman Roy Wright who's been with the club since it began in 1989. The ball fell to Oliver in space 8 yards out, he calmly took a touch and slotted the ball home, to become the youngest goalscorer in the clubs 1st team history. WIth Gavin Bamford on the score sheet at 38 years young, the oldest player record was also broke on the day. Thats 10 clean sheets from 12 in the league with the back 5 looking solid this season.
FT 6-0

Good luck to the Lammas who im sure will take plenty of points off good sides this year, as much as CB were good on the day, Lammas clearly just had a bad day at the office.
