The Late Late Show.

The first half opened with CB clearly in the mood to give themselves an uphill task. Before the game CB were sitting an impressive 4th in the country for goals conceded at step 6.

Five minutes in, an CB gifted Dorking 2 goals in the space of 45 seconds, Dorking's "Smith" took his gift wrapped chances on 9 and 11 with precision, the centre forward is definitely one of the best we have seen at this level.

CB were stunned but the spirit in this group is unwavering, on 14 minutes Abdhul Said got one back for CB. It was a neat passing move from front to back with Jordan Ireland flicking over the left back for Abdhul Said to run on to and smash home. CB slightly dominated possession for the remainder of the half, with both sides only really having half chances.

HT CB 1-2 Dorking

The second half started with CB on the front foot but always aware of the pace Dorking had with there wide man and quality centre forward. Dorking broke away with pace in behind, CB's Stuart Bamford came together with the Dorking player in the box and a penalty was duly awarded. The excellent Smith stepped up, but was denied by an excellent save from Alex Wines. The ball was heading into the bottom right hand corner, but Alex was at full stretch with a strong hand pushed it round the post to keep CB in the game. Kyel Henry who had replaced the influential injured midfielder Jerome Edwards (dead leg) got the equalizer on 51 minutes after some good work from Antwayne Plumber. Both sides huffed and puffed with no clear cut chances falling to either side until in the 8th minute off added time Gavin Bamford smashed home from a Nick Hardy assist to secure all 3 points with practically the last kick off the game.

FT CB 3-2 Dorking

With Jordan Vidal out, Nick Hardy on the bench returning from injury and CB losing both attacking midfielders in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half they showed real spirit to walk away with all 3 points. There was complaints about the length of time added, CB have earned every goal and point we have gained this season, so if today was our day to have a bit of luck we are happy to take it.

Good luck to Dorking FC for the rest of the season and with your new ground. A good bunch of lads and management moving the club in the right direction.
