Borehamwood FC Vs CB Hounslow United FC Elite U18s FA Youth Cup

This is the biggest competition that CB Hounslow United have entered & the boys can hold their heads high with the belief that the work ethic, desire & information show on the night was the best by far to date.

We started brightly with high tempo, although, low press, with Borehamwood moving the ball around quickly (in their own half) which we worked hard to stop them playing through the middle forcing the play down the left & right where Jake Blazeley (left) & Tommy O'Neil (Right) had a tough night with constant movement of the wingers & fullbacks. Both worked extremely well & stopped the majority of their anything built up.

Borehamwood received a penalty won 38 minutes when Dunnell King was penalised for a late challenge (very dubious decision, outspoken, by more than one spectator on that side), with that, justice was served & the penalty kick going up an over the goal into the residential estate behind.
Our Captain on the night was Dylan Parr, an eventful evening for Dylan but nothing was getting past him "fantastic performance by Mr Parr"

..... 0-0 Half time.

Second half see us receive more pressure & Borehamwood hitting the crossbar & post with half chances. Harvey Lal was superb winning the ball & his distribution & work ethic was awesome to watch. Elisard Mializi, fresh of an aeroplane & his holiday had to be substituted on 50 minutes after giving his all up top for us, replaced by Patrick Kinsellar who carried on the hard work as SF. On 55 minutes Borehamwood had a long shot (40 yards) scoring there only goal of the night, a decent goal, I must admit, 1-0. Trying to bring some more direct speed down the flanks, Scott Flannigan was substituted for Ibrahim Kamara on 60 minutes & Rico Luis substituted for Brandon Logie on 70 minutes so we could keep the high work ethic on the pitch trying not to unset the structure too much. Harvey Lal had a free kick on the right shortly afterwards Brandon was taken down on the left/ edge of the of the box where Jake took the free kick, both Jake & Harvey unable to convert these good free kick opportunities.

Ben Israel, Harvey Lal & Antwayne Plummer all having shots saved. Antwayne Plummer showing why he is confidently in any starting 11, man of the match for us, although, with all the good solid performances, it's hard to pick out just one player on the night, however, Antwayne was absolutely brilliant, always showing a great positive attitude worked his socks off. A Superb save from George Douglas conceded a corner where we countered well winning another free kick in the centre which Brandon Logie had their number
8 booked for not moving away from the ball & stopping us playing quickly....

Final whistle 1-0 Borehamwood

With the final whistle I was over the moon with the outcome considering the Borehamwood players train most days & the majority of them play for the reserves on Saturdays (Conference football), so, a great performance & the show of how to work for EACH other in a game with no silly individual showboating, made this the best performance to date as one team / one unit of players.

Our development is working & we are getting better each week.
Love That.
