Match Report:
CB Hounslow United FC U18s second League game of the season, what a game for us Conquest the local private Academy club & derby. With bad weather & cancellations the CB u18 players have only had the opportunity to work together for 3 hours over the past 4 weeks. We all understood that we had top opposition tonight in Conquest Academy, a football club who offer players the luxury of a dedicated coaching team to work with them comprehensively five days a week for a fee . We were under no illusions that our visitors would be heavily coached with technically strong individuals on show.

The CB U18 set out a strategic game plan to manage the technically strong players Conquest have with the CB Players playing with discipline & desire. CB encouraged our opponents to play their own game while we pressed with intelligence, forcing decisions which awarded our players with dominating the flow of the game. Conquest did play very direct & try to attack with aggression; however as a team we broke down the majority of anything they tried - Ben, Harvey along with our solid back 4 (Tommy, Dunnell, Dylan (Captain) & Jake) all showing the first team manager why they should be considered & pushing for 1st team football next season, along with Arhen dominating the right hand side, this showed our opposition that we were a TEAM not individuals, Ahren constantly pushed forwards causing mayhem for the left back, nearly scoring a great individual goal with that Antwayne using his engine & high level for desire on the left, forcing mistakes from their right back due to his work rate, other than that an equal first half …. 0-0 first half.

2nd half offered the same desire & a superb show of personal passion by the CB players to get their jobs right offering the home & away supporters a first class session in how to work hard for each other producing opportunities to score. Substitutes on 68 minutes: Conner Lee for Jake B, Scotty F for Brandon L & Ibrahim for Ahren V. On 70 minutes, with us still breaking down Conquests play & proving that we was the better organised team, we countered with confidence seeing us win a free kick on 83 minutes. With the free kick Conner floated the ball in the box which eventually fell to Ibrahim who drilled a fantastic shot under the conquest goalkeeper, goal; 1-0 CB Hounslow. Conquest found it very hard to get in behind us the whole game & it took a decent individual goal for conquest to equalise 1-1 on 88 minutes which is how the game finished, sharing the points - 1-1

This was a true show of CB Hounslow United FC’s values in that our coaching: Principles of play , development & player support; working towards building our CB Hounslow United player’s through stages of learning so they can play at the best level possible.

Man of the Match: EVERYONE, great performance by all, well done
