Everyone worked so well together or the result would not have been possible

U18 Elite CB Hounslow United (9) V/s (1) Westfield FC
League Game @ the Orchard 19:30 KO – Wednesday 21st October 2015

CB Hounslow United U18s have been working on high & Low press football; after the past 4 games low press; today was all about High Press, this is a part of CB Hounslow United’s U18s development programme.

A minute silence for the loss of one of our own, CB Hounslow coach; Mr Simon Kensett, RIP

The game’s first 10 minutes started with the boys frustratingly not pressing as high as they should & not working on the structures / instructions set out initially also how we have worked on at the training ground. After getting our heads right, we started to press high, with aggression and pace, good to see this, kept the extremely well “a delight to watch“. Finally!!! we was starting to create chances, & create we did, chance after chance after chance to score, very exciting to see thank you CB U18s; super desire & moving the ball forwards as they know how to because this is one of just one of the targets the boys have each game.

With the players getting in behind Westfield so well, it was only a matter of time before we scored & we did, the first goal coming from an assist via Goalkeeper, George Douglas. A quick kick setting off Antwayne Plummer down the left “superb kicking from George, helping us gets the play going quickly understanding this high press game”. Once the first goal was scored we was only going to finish more with the amount of chances the players created, scoring 9 today, yes that’s (Nine) times. Proving that we can do low press very well, todays challenge started slow but once the boys got to grips with high press, well the score says it all. If I am honest we had at least 8 more very good chances to score on top of the final score.

Too many goals to write about, with that said, a great performance by Harvey Lal; absolutely superb showing (ping, ping, ping Harvey Lal) “tekkers”. Scott Flanagan, hatrick today, good show of work & desire, Anywayne “FUN” Plummer scoring a well-deserved hatrick for his constant energy on the pitch, #antwayneattack”. Other goals coming from Levi Camacho a fantastic new signing; skilful, direct, stamping his true boss attitude in midfield, Elisard got off the mark today scoring a delightful chip, great to get our striker on the score sheet, the gates are now open for him which I am confident he will continue to score over the coming games & Oliver Wright finishing well after coming on as substitute.

Everyone worked so well together or the result would not have been possible – a good performances from our other 1st years in Brandon Logie & Conor Lee with the defence having to deal with some quick wingers containing them well.

High press this time & this is our rewards for doing it well, 9 goals, should have been more, however, respect to Westfield, kept trying to play their game, however, the hard work from our boys stopped that. Knock, Knock, Knocking on the Mr First team manager’s door, the players are looking to push their way up to you next season, they are showing they have the credentials to ask you questions now.
Well done tonight boys, now we are showing the signs of a truly strong TEAM proving that working for each other is where success comes from, working with our principles of play, the desire & player support for each other was first class tonight, this helps get the results we have been getting, we can only get BETTER now..

Every game I have a problem picking One player out of so many top performances for MOTM, however, Scott Flanagan has turned a corner truly showing he can influence games be a team player so well done Scotty a hatrick and Man of the match is your reward.

Man of the Match: Scott Flanagan - #Logielove
