Middlesex CFA is please to announce the launch of the County Referee Development Team where a number of the members of the County Instructor Panel have been given extra responsibilities to assist in the training and developing of its Referees.

Academy Co-ordinator – Liam Walshe
Liam has taken on the responsibility of maintaining the good work of the MCFA Referee Academy that in the last 5 seasons has seen a number of young referees move to Level 3, he will be looking for support from other referees within the County, both with identifying potential candidates and fulfilling other roles within the Academy set up. Again interested or have any suitable candidates for him his email is lfwalshe@hotmail.com

Assessing Co-ordinator – Jim Upfold
Jim has held this post for the Association for some time but he is always looking for more Assessors to help in the development of the Promotion Candidates, interested? Then please contact him via jim@upfold.freeserve.co.uk

Fitness Co-ordinator – Isaac Jempeji
Again this is a role that is already inexistence and Isaac has carried out these duties for 4 year so he will continue to offer support and training for those who are interested, whether newly qualified or progressing towards the professional game, he can be contacted via Isaac.Jempeji@HMCOURTS-SERVICE.GSI.GOV.UK

Instructor Panel Co-ordinator – Tom Croad
Tom’s major role is to ensure that all Basic Course have sufficient staff to ensure the delivery of the Course, he will also assist the office in setting up Basic Courses with dates and venues. If you would like to help Tom, by becoming part of the Instructor Panel please contact him member@croad.fsnet.co.uk

Level 9 Co-ordinator – Andy Taylor (RDO)
As a result of the workload being taken off our RDO he will now focus on one of the Key Performance Indicators of the County Development Plan and that is converting the number of Trainee Referees (Level 9) to Junior County Referees (Level 7) or Youth Referee (Level 8), as a County Middlesex train a large number of new officials, but the conversion rate has not always been to the required level, with the extra time he will have it is hoped that this figure will improve.

Mentor Co-ordinator – Dave Roberts
This is and always has been one of the hardest roles to fulfil in local football, although there have been some good practices within the County this season and hopefully we will be able to build on these.
Dave hopes that by developing this role he will be able to ensure that all Basic Referee Candidates get proportional support. Again he will need a lot of support from existing or former referees so if you can spare any time I am sure he would be grateful of your offer, send him an email to davidroberts.tv@btinternet.com

Promotion Support Co-ordinator – Ray Herb
Another new role where it has been felt in the past that Promotion Candidates have not always had the support they need so together with the introduction of Focus Groups, Ray will try and ensure that all candidates complete the whole process without encountering many of the pitfalls their predecessors have found.. If you think you could help Ray contact him Ray.Herb@middlesexfa.com
